Our Summer Caravans newsletter is now available here. You’ll find a description of our lovely weekend in Patagonia, Arizona, where we built an altar, explored what we can learn from scarred saguaros, and how poetry awakens us to contemplative wonder. Caravans includes responses to our Fire and Light podcast, which we launched in January. If you haven’t listened yet, you can listen wherever you get your podcasts, or see summaries and find links here.

Old Friends

Tessa and Richard Rohr celebrate
an Arizona reunion.

New Friends

Our Patagonia retreatants gather around an altar we created.
We love our work!
Our weekend ended with a beautiful outdoor prayer service, “Canticle for All Creatures in a Time of Climate Change,” composed by ethnobotanist and ecumenical Franciscan Brother Coyote, OEF, also known as Gary Nabhan. We include it in this Caravans. And you’ll learn about Tessa’s upcoming class for The Celtic Spirituality School. Enjoy a beautiful June!
Below, we wanted you to see color photos of our spring camping adventure in Organ Pipe National Monument and excursion to Peridot Mesa on the San Carlos Apache Reservation.

Tessa enjoys a hike at Organ Pipe National Monument.

Dave and Tessa marvel at the wildflower superbloom at Peridot Mesa.
Dave hangs a lantern in his tent at Organ Pipe.

Please consider supporting our mission to explore the wisdom of the desert and tell stories of hope. Your gift helps us attend this summer’s Parliament of the World’s Religions, pay for communication expenses, and live our simple life of praising God in contemplative solitude.

Thank you!
